{"id":8453,"date":"2022-02-17T08:16:57","date_gmt":"2022-02-17T13:16:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.elc-marion.org\/?post_type=tribe_events&#038;p=5242"},"modified":"2022-02-17T08:16:57","modified_gmt":"2022-02-17T13:16:57","slug":"5242-2","status":"publish","type":"tribe_events","link":"https:\/\/bookmark3.com\/dev\/elcmc\/calendar\/5242-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Phonological Awareness Development for Preschoolers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Phonological Awareness Development for Preschoolers<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This course is appropriate for ALL early childhood educators wishing to increase and build their knowledge of emergent literacy development in young children.<\/p>\n<p><strong>This course consist of three (3) training components totaling 5 hours<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>This training meets the Emergent Literacy course requirements.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Component One<\/strong> &#8211; 3-hour instructor-led training course<\/p>\n<p>By the end of this component, participants should be able to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Recognize the key elements of early language and literacy development<\/li>\n<li>Describe the stages of PA development and understand the connections to emergent reading and writing<\/li>\n<li>Identify the phonological awareness standard and benchmarks for 4 year olds<\/li>\n<li>Plan and implement phonological awareness instruction using developmentally appropriate activities<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Participants must register via DCF, no walk-ins.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&gt;&gt;&gt; <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/training01-dcf.myflorida.com\/studentsite\/admin\/signin\">CLICK HERE TO REGISTER<\/a><\/strong> &lt;&lt;&lt;\u00a0 *** You will need the following CODE # to register: REF# 9669<\/p>\n<p>Late arrivals will not receive credit for attending.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Component Two &#8211; \u00a0Planning, Practice and Self- Reflection or PPR component <\/strong>\u00a0During the PPR participants will independently plan a lesson, practice the lesson with a group of children and complete the self-reflection sheet. (THIS WILL BE ASSIGNED DURING COMPONENT ONE)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Component Three &#8211; \u00a0Virtual Reflection Session or VR component.<\/strong>\u00a0 Participants will attend a virtual session hosted by a facilitator and reflect on the strategies learned and implemented during the PPR component.
